The D&B Audiotechnik KSL12 Line Array Loudspeaker is a high-quality, professional sound system that provides superb audio quality for events and concerts. With its 120° constant directivity dispersion pattern and 10″ neodymium forward facing LF drivers, the D&B KSL12 delivers great sound coverage and clarity for any event or large space. The SL-Series flying hardware makes setting up and adjusting the splay angles between cabinets easy and fast, so you can get your show on the road in no time.
This loudspeaker is perfect for large venues where superior sound is essential – with two channels of an appropriate d&b amplifier, it provides smooth crossover and consistent dispersion.
From the Manufacturer
The D&B Audiotechnik KSL12 line array module produces an 120° constant directivity dispersion pattern in the horizontal plane over the entire operating bandwidth. The KSL12 houses two 10″ neodymium forward facing LF drivers and two side firing 8″ neodymium LF drivers. A coaxial mid-high section contains an MF horn with an 8″ driver and two 1.4″ exit, 3″ voice coil HF compression drivers mounted to a dedicated wave shaping device.
SL-Series flying hardware comes with a patented workflow with integrated tension and compression rigging modes, allowing splay angles between cabinets from 0° to 10° in 1° increments. The loudspeakers are driven actively by two channels of an appropriate d&b amplifier. One channel powers the 10” LF drivers, the second channel powers all other components, which are passively crossed-over.
This component geometry allows for a smooth crossover design with well-defined overlaps between adjacent bands providing consistent, even and very accurate horizontal dispersion. Due to the arrangement of the front and side firing LF drivers, seamless directivity control is maintained from the lowest frequencies the loudspeaker produces to above 18 kHz.
Further expanding flexibility and catering for applications where smaller arrays are used and ArrayProcessing is not required, the D&B KSL12 includes the option to link two cabinets in Line or Arc mode. The cabinets are constructed from marine plywood and have an impact and weather protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. The front and side panels incorporate rigid metal grills backed by an acoustically transparent and water repellent fabric. Each side panel incorporates a recessed handle, with additional handles provided at the rear.
